The mountain range refers to the Trikuta and Himalayan mountain ranges native to Jammu; the lit candle symbolises the lamp of education being lit for the community and the illumination of the mind; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

GOVERNMENT GANDHI MEMORIAL SCIENCE COLLEGE, JAMMU (GGM SC JAMMU) The emblem of Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu (GGM SC Jammu) features three orange and cyan feathers held by a royal coronet with a scroll inscribed with the motto ‘Ich Dien’ of the college in Old German, which translates to ‘I Serve’. The name of the college surmounts the motifs and its year of establishment is written at the bottom. The college was originally established in 1905 as the Prince of Wales College to commemorate the visit of the Prince of Wales (later King George V) to Jammu. COLUMBA'S COLLEGE, HAZARIBAGH (SCC) The emblem of St. Columba's College, Hazaribagh (SCC) features a light blue shield inscribed with the motifs of a cross, a dove, elements like elements including a castle, a lion and a harp, a leopard (or panther) and a coiled serpent, along with the letter ‘M’ and a figure representing Saint Columba (an Irish abbot and missionary) standing before a rising sun.
