NORTH DELHI MUNICIPAL CORPORATION

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (DMC), the second largest civic body was trifurcated in 2012 into North DMC, South DMC and East DMC. The insignia of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) is in the form of a shield in green, red and blue has been divided into three parts. The top two parts show public waste and a monument. The third part has an open book, below which a drain is shown. It is surrounded by a circular border, on which the name of the corporation is written in Devanagari and English. This is supported by a pedestal. A banner at the bottom has its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘From Darkness to Light’ is written on it. This colourful logo with yellow, red, green and blue is an interesting attention grabber.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure. The colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

DIGILOCKER DigiLocker is an online service provided by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India under its Digital India initiative. DigiLocker provides an account in cloud to every Indian citizen to access authentic documents and certificates such as driving licence, vehicle registration, academic mark list in digital format from the original issuers of these certificates. It also provides one GB storage space to each account to upload scanned copies of legacy documents. Its emblem in purple colour has a cloud with a keyhole with a background of a document. Its name is written alongside and its tag line is written below the name.
