The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the central motif represents a core of knowledge or the interconnectedness of various disciplines, which are then supported by the surrounding elements; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the hands refer to the management and the college.
