SHIVNAGAR VIDYA PRASARAK MANDAL'S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (SVPM)

The emblem of Shivnagar Vidya Prasarak Mandal's College of Engineering (SVPM) features a gearwheel housing a pictorial of an orange circle ensconced by a grey square with extended corners and inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ meaning ; a pair of laurels and the name of its management in Devanagari. The gearwheel is supported by a pair of hands and at the bottom, the initials of the college ‘SVPM’ is written. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the central motif represents a core of knowledge or the interconnectedness of various disciplines, which are then supported by the surrounding elements; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the hands refer to the management and the college.

TEERTHANKER MAHAVEER UNIVERSITY Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), was established by an Act (No. 30) of 2008 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2008. The emblem of the university has a motif of a pair of green flying birds motif supporting the acronym of the name and place of the university are placed in a circular orange vignette background. These are ensconced by a half white and half red border which bears the name of the university in English and Devanagari respectively. On a banner with orange tones, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सम्यक् दर्शन, सम्यक् ज्ञान, सम्यक् चारित्र' meaning ‘Right philosophy, Right knowledge, Right character’ is inscribed in black. The green flying bird symbols mean good luck, hope, joy, new beginnings, renewal and healing.

MANGALORE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mangalore University (MU) depicts its geography, history and tradition through a number of motifs. In the centre of a circle the motifs of rising sun above mountains and waterbody and trees are  placed representing the geography of the locale. It is ensconced by a yellow circular border on which its name is inscribed in Kannada and English. The circular seal is crested by a colourful headgear or ‘kirita’ of the famous folk dance form ‘Yakshagana’ and supported on either side by coffee plant branches with leaves and fruits for which the city and the State of Karnataka are famous for.
