VISHWA BHARTI WOMEN'S COLLEGE, RAINAWARI SRINAGAR (VBWC RAIWARI) (VBC COLLEGE) The emblem of Vishwa Bharti Women's College, Rainawari Srinagar (VBWC Raiwari) (VBC College) features an orange circle housing a blue and black ‘shatakona’ or six pointed star housing the motifs of a pink lotus, and ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the slogan and motto of the college in Devanagari. The Sanskrit slogan reads ‘मातृ देवो भव’, which translates to ‘Treat Your Mother as a God’ and the motto reads ‘कीर्तिः श्रीवाक् च नारीणां स्मृतिर्मेधा धृतिः क्षमा’ (Shloka 34, Chapter 10, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Fame, Fortune, Fine Speech, Memory, Intelligence, Steadfastness and Patience’. The circle is surmounted by a green panel inscribed with the name of the college ‘Vishwa Bharati’ and supported by green banners inscribed with its tagline ‘Truth Goodness Beauty’.
