The emblem of Vishwa Bharti Women's College, Rainawari Srinagar (VBWC Raiwari) (VBC College) features an orange circle housing a blue and black ‘shatakona’ or six pointed star housing the motifs of a pink lotus, and ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the slogan and motto of the college in Devanagari. The Sanskrit slogan reads ‘मातृ देवो भव’, which translates to ‘Treat Your Mother as a God’ and the motto reads ‘कीर्तिः श्रीवाक् च नारीणां स्मृतिर्मेधा धृतिः क्षमा’ (Shloka 34, Chapter 10, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Fame, Fortune, Fine Speech, Memory, Intelligence, Steadfastness and Patience’. The circle is surmounted by a green panel inscribed with the name of the college ‘Vishwa Bharati’ and supported by green banners inscribed with its tagline ‘Truth Goodness Beauty’. The shatakona represents the harmonious union of Purusha (spirit/divine energy) and Prakriti (nature/matter), signifying a balanced, holistic development of the student. The lotus is a classic symbol of purity, spiritual awakening and detachment, which reminds students to rise gracefully above worldly distractions, maintaining pure hearts and minds. The globe grid in the circular backdrop, the latitudinal and longitudinal lines emphasize a global outlook, aligning with the name ‘Vishwa Bharati’.
