Kuttukaran is a group of companies operating in automotive and educational domains. Its emblem is an abstract version of ‘K’, in monotone of orangish red on top and a multicoloured triangular pattern on the back. The name of the group is written in a interesting experimental typeface similar to ‘K’ in grey and the tagline of the group ‘Journeys with You’ is written below.The multicoloured triangles represent the multifaceted organisation operating in diverse fields in perfect harmony and the colour orangish red denotes health, vitality, physical energy, passion, joy, warmth, fun, good luck, prosperity and celebration and the colour grey symbolises strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
