The 'DCX' has no letter spacing to represent close knit security and trust. The colour blue symbolises  serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, and intelligence and the colour red symbolises passion, vitality, strength, health, determination, energy and celebration.

Earlier it was known as Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE) and Koneru Lakshmaiah University, located in Vaddeswaram, Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. The red and blue emblem of the foundation has a gear wheel with twelve teeth of which nine bear the symbols of nine planets. It houses the motifs of a factory, atomic symbol, a bridge and a transmission tower within a circle.
