The insignia of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has a red open book supporting its acronym in blue extra bold sans serif lowercase letters. The ‘i’ of the word mark is depicted as a tag hanging from a badge and the dot on it is shown as a glowing red sun. The word mark is treated as a badge of reward of learning, teaching and excellence in both. The open book denotes learning, knowledge, wisdom and education.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’.
