PHOOL CHATTI YOGA ASHRAM

The insignia of Phool Chatti Yoga Ashram has, a twenty four petalled with pink and dark pink petals, houses a cyan motif of a human in a yoga pose supported by the word ‘Namaste’ written using brush strokes. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the colour pink symbolises love, nurture and compassion and cyan symbolises sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation and emotional balance.  This is a simple and meaningful logo of an ashram practising and teaching yoga.

Its motto in Sanskrit ‘लोकोहितार्थम् ज्ञानार्जनम्’ meaning ‘Acquiring Knowledge for the Benefit of the World’ is placed below the wheel. The emblem is supported by two pairs of green leaves.

Muzaffarnagar Medical College (MMC) is offering courses in medical science leading to the degree of MBBS. Its emblem is an orange squircle with its acronym ‘Cmm’ as a monogram in white, light blue and violet colours. It is supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वाणी स्वास्थ्य मूलम्’ meaning ‘Health is the Root of Everything’. On the top right corner is the Rod of Aesculapius (also called Asklepios), the ancient mythical god of medicine. Asklepios may have been a real person who was renowned for his gentle remedies and humane treatment of the mentally ill.

UNIVERSITY OF HYDERABAD The University of Hyderabad (Hydarāvād visvavidyālayamu) is a top ranking public Central research university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Founded in 1974, this mostly residential campus has more than five thousand students and four hundred faculty, from several disciplines. It has a red circular emblem supported by a banner. The emblem has motifs of an atom and energy depicted on an open book and nuclear energy and its radiation ensconced in a circle. These are circumscribed by a banner above by its name. At the bottom, on a banner its motto is written Sanskrit. It is quoted from a verse of Vishnu Purana (1.19.41). The motto is ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ meaning ‘Education Leads to Liberation’.

HEMWATI NANDAN BAHUGUNA GARHWAL UNIVERSITY Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University was established as a State University through the U.P. State Government notification dated November 23, 1973. It has a rare distinction of taking birth through a powerful popular movement during the early seventies in the last century. The university was converted to a Central University on January 15, 2009. The green circular emblem of the university has the motifs of the geography of the State - Himalayan mountain range, rivers, a tree and shining sun within a circle. All theses are ensconced in a circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘जीवा ज्योतिर्शिमहि’ meaning  ‘Life Eternal’ and supported on either side by a pair of red lotuses - denoting knowledge and purity and at the bottom half of the border its name in Devanagari is written.

It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action in July 2008. Its emblem has motifs of a tribal artist with drum, a book, a peacock, rising sun, banyan trees and a river surrounded by a green circular border on which its name is written in Devanagari and English; supported on either side by a crest of cereal and crested by four pairs of horns. On the green pedestal supporting this emblem is the name of the place and a blue banner at the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या विन्दते अकिलम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge Finds the World’ is written.
