The cyan-coloured circular seal of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has a globe with earth, ocean and atmosphere circumscribed by its motto in Devanagari ‘स्वच्छ पर्यावरण के लिये प्रतिबन्द्द’ and English ‘In Pursuit of Clean Environment’. Below the motif its initials are written in sans serif extra bold capitals. The cyan colour denotes sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation and emotional balance.

At the bottom, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkural) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed is placed on the seal. Athiyaman and Avvaiyar refer to history and heritage; the book, sun and the humans refer to education and educational achievement; the tree refers to nature, sustenance and growth; the computer refers to technology; and the dam refers to the local landmark.
