The emblem of Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) has the motifs of a borewell going deep into the earth, which sources water for irrigation on the top soil shown with a field, farmer ploughing and crested by a pair of crossed ploughs. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border, which carries the name of the Board and its year of inception supported by a pair of laurels. Atop the emblem the National Emblem of the Lion Capital is placed and at he bottom on a yellow banner, its name is written in Devanagari.
