PURNEA UNIVERSITY Purnea University, Purnia was carved out of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura on March 18, 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. The circular emblem of the university has a lotus leaf supporting an open book, a lotus and a rising sun crested by three motifs of humans. These have been circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English divided by a pair of fish.
