The seal of Thanjavur Central Cooperative Bank (TCC Bank) features the gopuram of Brihadeeswarar Temple, ‘Kallanai’ the dam on river Cauvery, a veena and a kiddy bank in a circle ensconced by a circular border inscribed with its name in Tamil and supported by a banner bearing its name in English. The motto of the bank is written in Tamil ‘கூட்டுறவு மூலம் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி, which translates to ‘Economic Development through Cooperation’ on a panel below the seal. The temple refers to the place of the bank; the dam refers to irrigation and agriculture; the veena refers to the great musical tradition of Thnajavur and the kiddy bank refers to thrift, savings, banking and financing.
