The pictorial refers to the protected nurturing of the development of digital technology on an institutional basis. The colours blue and greenish blue denote serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and refreshment, tranquillity, harmony, prosperity, renewal, regeneration, calmness and peace respectively.

At the bottom, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkural) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed is placed on the seal. Athiyaman and Avvaiyar refer to history and heritage; the book, sun and the humans refer to education and educational achievement; the tree refers to nature, sustenance and growth; the computer refers to technology; and the dam refers to the local landmark.
