AMA ODISHA NAVEEN ODISHA

The emblem of ଆମ ଓଡିଶା ନବୀନ ଓଡିଶା or Ama Odisha Naveen Odisha meaning ‘Our Odisha New Odisha’ is a green colour conch or ‘shankha’ with three people in bright green, blue and pink colours celebrating. It has its name written on its right top. The conch or shankha is considered sacred in Hinduism as the emblem of Lord Vishnu and Buddhism and it is also known as ‘panchajanya’ and used for spreading the message and for invocation. The people celebrate the arrival of ‘New Odisha’; the colour green denotes agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth. And colourful people represent the varied nature of the population.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology. CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION The circular seal of the Central Water Commission has a five petalled flower with a water dam, a powerline on sea water, a borewell pump, plants of cereal and a high tension transmission line each placed inside a petal. The flower is placed in an orange circle and this assembly is ensconced by a yellow circular border, on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योति रसोऽमृतम’ meaning ‘May That Awakens Our Intelligence’ are inscribed. UNIVERSITY OF KASHMIR The University of Jammu and Kashmir was founded in 1948. In the year 1969 it was bifurcated into University of Kashmir (UoK) at Srinagar and University of Jammu at Jammu.
