In 1955-56 to promote the nascent Indian engineering sector which was in the process of diversifying and restructuring the narrow export base of the industry and it needed a strong push - the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India was set up in 1955 under the sponsorship of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, for export promotion of engineering goods, projects and services from India. Curently it is known as EEPC India. EEPC India has been the face of Indian engineering exports over a span of 67 years and is regarded as the model EPC in India by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Its blue and grey coloured logo has it name written in bold sans serif letters. At its bottom its motto ‘Engineering the Future’ is written in black.
