ARMY AVIATION CORPS

Formed on November 1, 1986, the Army Aviation Corps (AAC) currently consists of 38 helicopter flights operated by 12 squadrons. The AAC currently has 460 pilot officers on strength and an annual intake of 40-45 officers per year and the AAC Centre is at Nasik, Maharashtra. Army aviation training which was previously carried out at the School of Artillery at Deolali, is now carried out in an independent Combat Air Training School also at Deolali. Its insignia has a flying eagle above a pair of crossed swords placed in a purple circle and at the bottom is a red banner with its motto in Sanskrit ‘Suveg va Sudrid’ meaning ‘Swift and Sure’.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘Full or Complete Vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and 'Source of Life' in the Vedas. Purna-Kumbha is a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rigveda. It is held above the lotus, which is supported by a book and a pair of laurels of cereal on both the sides. These are ensconced in a circle, which is closed by a circular gear wheel, on which the name of the institute in Hindi and English and its tagline ‘श्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Hard Work Triumphs’ are written.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KURUKSHETRA National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. On a banner placed below its motto ‘श्रमोनवरत चेष्टा च’ meaning ‘Hard Work and Consistent Efforts’

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY JAMSHEDPUR National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (NIT Jamshedpur) or NITJSR) was formally inaugurated on August 15, 1960 at Adityapur. On December 27, 2002 RIT, Jamshedpur was upgraded to National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur with the Deemed University status. Its insignia in the form of an oblong shield has a number of elements and motifs within. Its name and place supported by two laurels of cereals; map of India within a gear wheel circumscribed by a revolving line; an electrical transmission tower; a scientific experiment; a burning lamp; a reservoir dam and a banner with its motto ‘शंन ॠभवः सुकृतः सुहस्ताः’ meaning ‘Well Done Well Handled’.

VIDYAVARDHAKA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS) was established in 1949 by Late Sahukar Channaiah and Late K. Puttaswamy to impart quality education to all sections of the society. Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) is one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Karnataka. Established in 1997. VVCE is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.

AURORA HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ACADEMY Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy, deemed to be-university, Established under Section 03 of the UGC Act 1956 in Telangana in 1989 by Ramesh Nimmatoori. Aurora - the name of the institution is derived from Aurora Borealis, the celestial northern lights. It also has association with the Sun God Apollo and the Roman Goddess of Dawn, Aurora. The logo has three critical components - the Italian colours - lilac and wild pink; the Egyptian pyramid signifying the letter A and most importantly, the logo being emblematic of the spirit of the university -'The Temple of Learning'.
