NICMAR UNIVERSITY
Originally named as National Institute of Construction Management and Research, NICMAR University has spread its wings to become the First Built Environment University in India. NICMAR was founded in September, 1983 as a Society and a Public Charitable Trust. Its emblem in yellow ochre, Brown and dark brown appears like a well built solid structure using the alphabets NICMAR. Its name is written adjacent to the emblem and ‘University’ is written below that in black.

BABA GHULAM SHAH BADSHAH UNIVERSITY Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has come into existence by an Act of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly called the Jammu & Kashmir Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Act No. XVI of 2002 and the same is recognised by the AICTE and UGC, New Delhi, under sections 2F and 12 B. The university is patronised by the Jammu & Kashmir Wakf Council. The motto of the university is ‘إقرا باسم ربك الذي خلق’ which means, ‘Read in the Name of God who has Created all that Exists’. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN The emblem of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has a rising sun with its golden rays resembling twelve flying birds supported by an open book in the National Tricolour. Below the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘तत् त्वं पूषन् अपावृणु’ (15, Shloka, Isavasyopanishad) meaning ‘O Pushan, that I, Truth’s devotee’ and at the bottom the name of the institution is written in Devanagari. The rising sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the flying birds refer to joy, prosperity, sun, magical powers, freedom, hope, new opportunities, power, confidence and innovation ; the open book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom and the colour gold  symbolises to wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

THE BIHAR REGIMEN The Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim influences intermingled to produce a soldiery which was traditionally arms bearing, disciplined and deeply religious. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion.
