Bharat Biotech started operations in 1996. Dr. Ella was returning from a research and teaching stint in the US and he wanted the new company to be an intellectual capital powerhouse. Today, Bharat Biotech has over 160 patents. Its emblem in greenish blue and indigo has a helix representing biotechnology and its name written in two lines in sans serif. The middle horizontal strokes start with sharp corners and there is no vertical stroke in 'R'.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999.
