ARTIFICIAL LIMBS MANUFACTURING CORPORATION OF INDIA

Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) is a Schedule ‘C’ Miniratna Category II Central Public Sector Enterprises, registered under Section 8 (Not for Profit motive) of the Companies Act 2013, is functioning under the Administrative Control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The Corporation started manufacturing artificial aids in 1976. It has five Auxiliary Production Centres (AAPCs) situated at Bhubaneswar, Jabalpur, Bengaluru, Mohali and Ujjain. Its dark blue colour emblem is a monogram, which features its acronym in the form of wheel chair, crutch and walker. All these are ensconced in blue circle which is surrounded by a golden ring.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES JODHPUR All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur) is one of the six new AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. Its circular insignia in gold and blue has the traditional symbol of the Caduceus to represent medicine. This symbol derives from Hermes or Mercury, the winged messenger and a staff intertwined by two snakes. It is crested by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरमयाः’, meaning ‘Let them all be Free of Illness’ and below this it is supported by a pair of laurels. This is ensconced by a circular border on which its name is written in Devnagari and English.
