INDIA’S G20 PRESIDENCY
The logo of India’s assumption of G20 Presidency was unveiled on November 8, 2022. The G20 logo draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of India’s national flag - saffron, white and green and blue. It juxtaposes planet earth with the lotus, India’s national flower that reflects growth amid challenges. The earth reflects India’s pro-planet approach to life, one in perfect harmony with nature. Below the G20 logo is ‘Bharat’, written in the Devanagari. The theme of India’s G20 Presidency – ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or ‘One Earth One Family One Future’ - is drawn from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishad. The theme also spotlights LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), with its associated, environmentally sustainable and responsible choices, both at the level of individual lifestyles as well as national development, leading to globally transformative actions resulting in a cleaner, greener and bluer future. They represent a uniquely Indian approach to our G20 Presidency, of living in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem.

EMBLEM OF MAHARASHTRA The emblem of the State of Maharashtra is a circular seal depicting a Samai Diva Lamp surrounded by 16 lotus blooms. Between the Samai lamp and lotus blossoms is a motto in Sanskrit 'प्रतिपच्चंद्रलेखेव वर्धिष्णुर्विश्व वंदिता महाराष्ट्रस्य राज्यस्य मुद्रा भद्राय राजते' ( Pratipaccandralēkhēva vardhiṣṇurviśva vanditā mahārāṣṭrasya rājyasya mudrā bhadrāya rājatē ), which translates as ‘The Glory of this Seal of the State Government of Maharashtra will Grow like the First day Moon. It will be worshipped by the world and will shine only for the well being of its people’. The motto is based on one found on the (rajmudra) ‘royal seal’ used by 17th century Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji, the only difference being that the name of the monarch is replaced by the name of the State.

DHANALAKSHMI SRINIVASAN COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (SDCATS) The emblem of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science (SDCATS) features a circle housing a torch with flame, a pair of folded hands ‘ Namaste ’, an open book and a lotus ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ' Learning for Excellence ’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the namaste is a spiritual greeting that signifies ‘The Divine In Me Bows to The Divine In You’; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge, and wisdom; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

MAHARISHI UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY The three layered circular insignia of Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT) has a glowing sun in yellow carrying its name and motto ‘From Potentiality to Actuality Through Creative Intelligence’ in the outer; its name and motto in Devanagari in the middle and a motif of a big tree with foliage and roots topped by its acronym in the centre circles. The green tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth, rootedness and the interconnectedness of everything; the yellow sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

SINHGAD TECHNICAL EDUCATION SOCIETY'S SINHGAD INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE (SITS) The oval-shaped emblem of Sinhgad Technical Education Society's Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science (SITS) features a pink silhouette motif of the Singhad Fort with black silhouette motifs of two persons shaking their hands, a person holding a globe with a human, a civil engineering surveyor and a person working with a computer. Below the seal, on a yellow banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ ( Yajnavalkya , 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra , Brihadaranyaka Upanishad ) meaning ‘ From Darkness Lead Me to Light ’ is inscribed.
