The emblem of Indian Jute Industries’ Research Association (IJIRA) has a rectangular jute bag on which its acronym is written as a monogram. The three tittles of ‘i’s and ‘j’ are depicted as three rollers of a jute mill. The logo is interesting, conveys the required information and serves as an identity.

The mountains and river refer to the local topography of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan mountain ranges; the lightning bolt symbiosis raw energy, power, enlightenment, and the sparking of knowledge; and the laurels represent a traditional laurel wreath, which symbolises academic triumph, victory and the pursuit of honour.
