EKLAVYA MODEL RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS

The circular emblem of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) has the motifs of a big tree holding a school building with an open book placed in it on a dark violet background. Its motto in Sanskrit meaning ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is one that Liberates’ demonstrates that the truth that learning ultimately frees one from ignorance is placed below the motif. Its name and affiliated Ministry are written on the circular border ensconcing the violet circle. The tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the building refers to the school and the book refers to knowledge, education, wisdom and learning.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
