INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS ASSOCIATION

The red circular seal of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) has a glowing sun circumscribed by fourteen traditional lamps and placed inside a circle. The circle is surrounded by its name in Devanagari and English. All these are ensconced by a thick circular border with white circle. The sun is a natural force that is outside of our control, it illuminates the world around us, helps living creatures navigate the planet and sustains the ecosystem. The fourteen lamps refer to the ‘Panchabhoota’, representing the five elements of nature and the supernatural existence that may have had a past. They also denote victory of light over darkness of ignorance from all directions, dispelling of negativity, profound purity and energy, positivism and completeness and wholeness.
