The red circular seal of Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has a full glowing sun circumscribed by its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘हयामि भर्गः सवितुर्वरेण्यम्’. All these are ensconced in a circle with a pair of outlines. The sun is a natural force that is outside of our control, it illuminates the world around us, helps living creatures navigate the planet and sustains the ecosystem.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
