PRADHAN MANTRI ANUSUCHIT JAATI ABHYUDAY YOJNA

The yellow and green circular seal of Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY) has a pair of houses with power symbol and a stem of three leaves referring to developed and sustainable houses supported by a pair of converging green swooshes referring to streets and roads and a pair of humans with a crests of cereals and an open book referring to nourishment to body and mind and its acronym. The motifs are circumscribed by a green border with motifs of humans holding together.These are ensconced by a circular border with the top half in yellow inscribed with its name and the bottom half in National Tricolours. The colour yellow signifies happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige and wealth.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. WESTERN AIR COMMAND The origin of the Western Air Command can be traced back to the nascent years of independent India, when the various formations of the Air Force were organised into two groups. On July 22, 1949 the No 1 Operational Group was re-designated as the Operational Command. The Command assumed its present name of Headquarters Western Air Command on June 10, 1963. Headquarters Western Air Command, located at Subroto Park, New Delhi, has over 200 bases placed under its command and has been involved in all major operations in India since independence. Due to its geographical location the Command has always been the hub-centre of all operational activities during any operation.
