DR. YASHWANT SINGH PARMAR GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE, NAHAN, SIRMAUR H.P. (YSPGMC) The emblem of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan, Sirmaur H.P. (YSPGMC) features the motifs of the Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined serpents, an open book and a pair of golden laurels, ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Devanagari and English. Below the seal, on a blue banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘आरोग्यम् सुख सम्पदा’ (), which translates to ‘Health is the Greatest Wealth’ is inscribed. The Staff of Caduceus is a symbol for medical professions, healing and clinical practice; the book represents academic knowledge, research, continuous learning and formal medical training; and the laurels signify academic excellence, honour, achievement and victory.
