All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bibinagar (AIIMS Bibinagar), Hyderabad Metropolitan Region (HMR) (Telangana) was established in 2019. The institute is located on a 200 acre area on Hyderabad - Warangal Highway in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District. The first batch of MBBS consisting of 50 students was started on August 27, 2019. Its emblem is a circular one with motifs in the centre ensconced by a black border, which has its name inscribed in Devanagari and English and has orange outline and white inner line edges. Inside the circle there are motifs including a rising sun, which reflects positive energy and depicts the growth of the Institute as one of the pioneers in healthcare; Indian Roller (Palapitta) is the State Bird of Telengana, which is considered as a good omen and is supposed to bring good fortune; Lake, which portrays the essence of the region, since Hyderabad was once referred to as the city of lakes; Pochampally Handloom is associated with the State since time immemorial and takes pride in reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Telengana; A staff, called the Caduceus wand, with a serpent wrapping around it, symbolising Asclepius, the God of medicine and doctors and an open book representing education, which is of paramount importance in the Institute. The emblem is supported by thirty-three stars representing thirty-three districts of the state of Telengana in the form of a smile, expressing happiness of the people and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे जनाः सुखिनः भवन्तु’ meaning ‘May the Entire World be Happy’ in the middle of these stars.
