The green and blue swooshes support these motifs. Its name is written in orange sans serif bold capitals surmounted by ‘Government of India’ and supported by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’.

The emblem of the university has a motif of the epic ‘Samudra Manthan’ or ‘churning of the ocean’ using Mount Meru as the staff and Vasuki - the king of snakes who adorns the neck of Shiva - as the rope, the Devas and the Asuras churning the milky ocean.
