The emblem of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) features an orange shield housing a glowing sun and a green abstract plant supported by a banner inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘हृदाकाशे चिदादित्य स्सदाभासति भासति’ meaning ‘The Sun of Consciousness Always Shines in the Heart's Sky’. The sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the plant refers to nature, growth, sustainability, and environment; the shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
