The mountain peaks silhouette in the background directly signifies the Karakoram and Himalayan ranges that isolate and define the Nubra Valley region. The open book is a classic academic symbol representing knowledge, learning and accessibility to education. The human figures with upraised arms portrays student growth, empowerment and transformation through literacy and higher learning.
