KALAMKARI CENTRE SOCIETY, JAMMU (KCS JAMMU) The emblem of Kalamkari Centre Society, Jammu (KCS Jammu) features an abstract red, orange and yellow sun placed in a gearwheel supported by an open book and ensconced by a pair of golden laurels. A five-pointed star crests the seal. The name of the society is written on a golden banner placed below the seal. The sun symbolises enlightenment, the dispelling of ignorance and the dawning of a bright future through wisdom; the book represents the foundation of knowledge, structured learning and the continuous pursuit of literacy and education; the laurels symbolise academic excellence, achievement and growth; and the gearwheel stands for technology, engineering and industrial progress.
