The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयम्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha), which translates to ‘Education Makes one Humble’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The book serves as the literal and metaphorical foundation of formal education, academic rigour and continuous learning; the lotus symbolises purity, spiritual growth and overcoming obstacles and it highlights that true learning thrives even amidst worldly challenges; the lamp stands for enlightenment, wisdom, and the removal of ignorance and represents the spread of knowledge radiating outward to society; and the scrolls represent traditional scholarship, preservation of heritage and ancient wisdom passing through generations.
