The circle is ensconced by a white circular border inscribed with the name and place in English and motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates to ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’. The book symbolises denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the pen signifies symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; and the lit candle symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
