Below the seal, on a banner, the institution's official credentials, showcasing its formal affiliation with Jammu University and formal recognition by the J&K Government. The book is a universal representation of formal academic training, literacy and structured education; the lotus with the radiating lamp represents the awakening of the intellect, the dispelling of spiritual or mental darkness (ignorance) and purity.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes.
