The purple and green emblem of ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research (IISR) is a wordmark resembling a sugarcane with its vegetative nodes, stalks and sheath-like leaves. The ‘i’s are topped with a gear wheel and  red circle symbolising industrial production and productivity. The letters ‘S’ and ‘R’ are written like a pen to denote research and reporting. Below the wordmark, the name of the Institute is written in Devanagari.
