The pictorial emblem of Mysore School of Design (MSD) has a thick dark blue stroke intersected by an orangish yellow stroke diagonally, with its acronym placed above. The upward end of the blue stroke further dissolves into yellow. It can be inferred that the orange stroke denotes light of knowledge and creation, which pierces through the ignorance of blue stroke and further transforms it into learning, knowledge, innovation and creation. The colour blue signifies  serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’.
