The red and blue emblem of Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) has a shield divided by red and blue stripes holding a hand holding a burning torch, with its acronym written on. Alongside, the acronym is written in bold italics stylised sans serif type in blue and below that its tagline ‘Excellence in Transport’ is written. The shield represents protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the torch represents enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
