The emblem of Mysore School of Architecture (MSA) has a motif of the erstwhile European style buildings of Mysore and Bangalore. The red motif is a facade of a building divided into halves, in which one shows the finished look and the right half shows the basic geometry of the same. This half also has the acronym of the institution. Below this, on a white banner the tagline of the School ‘Success Through Efforts’ is inscribed.

The shield crested by the Ashoka Pillar with a the statue of a lion and a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सर्वोपरि कर्म’ (2.44, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Work is Above Everything Else’. The initials of the college ‘MIT’ is written in the middle of the shield. This features the map of the State of Jharkhand placed inside a gear wheel supported by a traditional lamp and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is placed inside a white circle. The circle is ensconced by a red border with blue outline, which carries its name in Devanagari and English.
