The rainbow coloured circular seal of Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) has a rainbow referring to the varieties of seeds, geographies and origins; holding a sprouting seed creased by a dancing peacock. The phrase ‘рднाрд░рдд рднीрдЬ’ crests the peacock. These motifs are ensconced by a red circular border carrying the name of the Samiti and its motto ‘рд╕рд╣рдХाрд░ рд╕े рд╕рдоृрдж्рдзि’ meaning ‘Prosperity from Cooperation’ in Devanagari. The peacock symbolises regrowth, rejuvenation, royalty, respect, honour, integrity, beauty, love and passion.

UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘рддрдорд╕ो рдоा рдЬ्рдпोрддिрд░्рдЧрдордп’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. The name of the university is written on A banner at the bottom. The open book denotes education, knowledge and wisdom; the lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the mountains represent the Himalayan Mountains and the atomic structure denotes science and science education.
