These are ensconced by a circular border with outlines, which is inscribed by its name and place. The mountain range and the sun refer to the geography of the Karbi Anglong territory.

As the institution is named after Mata Vaishno Devi, the color palette and tripartite flow are reminiscent of traditional spiritual symbolism associated with the region. It evokes the three distinct holy expressions or forms (often visually tied to white, yellowish-red and black hues) that represent different aspects of wisdom, prosperity and power.
