The circular seal of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI) has an open book, a nib of a pen crested by a flame and surmounted by seven stars. These are ensconced by a blue circular border on which its name is inscribed. The book represents education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the nib refers to freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the stars refers to the minority religions in Bharat.
