The emblem of Allahabad Museum is adapted from the State Emblem of the State of Uttar Pradesh with a pair of fish supporting a lotus. This arrangement is placed above an eight pointed star, which is placed inside a circle. The name of the museum in Devanagari supports the emblem.

The Staff is supported by green mountains with orange rising sun and its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् जीवनम् च प्रति’ meaning ‘Towards Knowledge and Life’. These are ensconced by a blue circle around which its name is written. This is supported by a pair of laurels. Below these motifs its acronym is written. The laurels refer to success, hard work and perseverance; the green mountains and the rising sun refer to the Northeastern region and the Staff refers to medicine and the medical profession.
