The circular insignia of DRDO-Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR) features the motifs of Indian armed forces in the middle, above which a gear wheel is placed and these are crested by the National Emblem in a light yellow background. The motto of the organisation in Sanskrit 'बलस्य मूलं विज्ञानम्', which translates to ‘The Source of Strength is Science' is placed below. It has a white border in which its name and the name of the controlling ministry are written in Devanagari and English. This is ensconced by a blue border which has the acronym ‘DRDO’ and ‘DIHAR’ in English in white.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
