Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) was established in the year 1986 as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 with an objective to train the professional manpower for footwear industry. The Institute provides one stop solution to the footwear industry. FDDI has pan India presence with twelve state-of art campuses spread across the country with campuses in Kolkata, Patna, Jodhpur, Ankleshwar (Surat), Guna, Chhindwara, Noida, Fursatganj (Raebareli), Rohtak, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai. It has world class infrastructure and facilities, created across all the functional domains to ensure international standards of higher education, training and delivery for footwear, leather products, retail and allied industries under one umbrella. Its logo in the colour of tanned hide looks like a pattern or template used for cutting leather and the ‘F’s middle horizontal stoke resembles that of a shoe stand.
