KRISHNA RIVER MANAGEMENT BOARD The emblem of Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) has a two pan beam balance of two water droplets placed above the map of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana supported by the Ashoka Chakra and a pair of golden laurels. These are ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with its name in Devanagari, Telugu and English. Below the circle, on a green banner, its motto ‘Equity Equality Justice’. The emblem is crested by the Ashoka’s Lion Capital, which is the National Emblem. The balance refers to the equitable distribution of water to the stakeholders and the laurels refer to  ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

GODAVARI RIVER MANAGEMENT BOARD The oval-shaped insignia of Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) houses the motifs of a drop of water supported by a pair of hands; clouds; a water dam; a water tap and a flowing river with a boat and vegetation on the sides. These are ensconced in an oval border with blue outlines, in which its name is written in Devanagari, Telugu and English. Below the oval, on a banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योती रसोऽमृतं’ meaning ‘All Pervading Divine Effulgence is Divine Essence, Immortal and Nectar-like Blissful’. The motifs in the oval represent water and water management for the society.

These are ensconced by a circular border with green outlines inscribed with its name and year of inception. The motifs on the petals denote the entities and the nature of support provided to them during floods.

ARAKKA BARRAGE PROJECT The circular seal of Farakka Barrage Project (FBP) has a profile of a barrage supported by its initials and is placed on an orange, white and green circle. The circle is circumscribed by the motifs of a pair of leaves on a hand; a boat; three fish; a pair of hands shaking; a bus and train and a glowing bulb. These are ensconced by a light orange circular border inscribed with its name in Devanagari and English; ‘Pride of the Nation’ and its motto in Sanskrit ‘अप्सु अन्तः अमृतम्’ (1.23.19, Rig Veda) meaning ‘Ambrosia is in the Waters’. At the bottom, on a banner its slogan ‘Serving the Nation Since 1976’ is written. The motifs represent the benefits, beneficiaries and cooperation among the stakeholders.

These are ensconced by a yellow circular border, which carries the name of the Board and its year of inception supported by a pair of laurels. Atop the emblem the National Emblem of the Lion Capital is placed and at he bottom on a yellow banner, its name is written in Devanagari.

CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION The circular seal of the Central Water Commission has a five petalled flower with a water dam, a powerline on sea water, a borewell pump, plants of cereal and a high tension transmission line each placed inside a petal. The flower is placed in an orange circle and this assembly is ensconced by a yellow circular border, on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योति रसोऽमृतम’ meaning ‘May That Awakens Our Intelligence’ are inscribed. The motifs inside the petals refer to the applications of water in daily life of society.
