The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the mountains range refer to local geography with the ragged peaks represent the Trikuta and Himalayan mountain ranges flanking the Jammu region; the Staff of Caduceus refers to medicine, healing and medical profession; the green cross symbolises first aid, medical assistance, safety and hospital care.
