The emblem of Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing (RGCN) features a cyan and magenta coloured shield with red outlines and radiant rays housing the motif of the Staff of Caduceus entwined by two serpents and topped with wings, famously carried by the Greek god Hermes. A yellow ribbon inscribed with the name of the college in red is placed on the shield. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the Staff of Caduceus refers to medicine and medical profession; and the radiant rays emanating from the shield symbolise active protection, divine guidance and the triumphant expansion of truth or authority over darkness.
