The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the green cross refers to a  pharmacy, medical cannabis dispensary or safety award, depending on the context ; and the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta.
