A pair of green laurels support the seal on the sides. The mountain range with peaks reflects the local geographical landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, the mountains represent high aspirations, stability and overcoming challenges in the pursuit of higher excellence; the radiant sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
